• The glucosamine is a molecule naturally present in the animal's body and especially in cartilage. It is synthesized in the body from glucose, fructose and glutamine, an amino acid. Glucosamine slows down the deterioration of cartilage in all joints and promotes the lubricating action of synovial fluid, a natural lubricant of joints that helps in their functioning. This molecule also reduces the destruction of certain molecules of cartilage and supports the vascularization of the los, which brings a better flexibility under cartilage. When the process of manufacturing glucosamine deranges, cartilages degrade, this can lead to stiffness and discomfort. As the level of glucosamine decreases with age, it is therefore advisable to have an additional intake to ensure flexibility and elasticity in aging animals. Glucosamine is thus mainly known to relieve discomfort associated with joint disorders in animals.
• The chondroitin is synthesized by the body from glucosamine. Present in joints, it plays a role in maintaining the structure and elasticity of cartilage, tendons, skin and wall of arteries. This molecule also contains amino acids containing sulphur. They are essential for the production of cartilage molecules. Chondroitin supports cartilage, it also promotes water retention and cartilage elasticity, helping to ensure adequate shock absorption. In addition, this molecule contributes to the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans, which are components of cartilage formation. Chondroitin is recommended for sustained joint stress, but also for growth and old age.

The MSM or methyl sulfonyl-methane is a natural source of bioavailable organic sulphur, i.e. well assimilated by the organism. It is the result of a process of oxidation of natural materials.
