Plant tar, a natural product with recognized sanitizing properties:

Tar is obtained by pyrolysis (a slow combustion in the absence of oxygen) from wood (usually pine but beech can also be used). It is a mixture of resin and empyreumatic oil. It is characterized by a strong and pungent odor given off by the action of fire by certain organic matter, charcoal residues and pyroligneous acid. Its very dark color is due to the charcoal.

L’usage du goudron comme soin remonte au 18ème siècle, les propriétés du goudron de Norvège sont décrites dès 1745 dans les manuels de pharmacologie.

Ses propriétés sont liées à sa composition chimique qui contiennent des composés phénoliques et des composés lipophiles (acides résiniques, terpènes). Les polyphénols sont connus pour leur rôle antioxydant et purifiant.

Le Goudron végétal est utilisé pour protéger et assainir la sole et la fourchette en cas d’humidité.

Les propriétés ainsi que la texture du goudron créent une barrière protectrice afin de protéger le dessous du pied.

Avec quoi associer le Goudron végétal ?

Le Goudron végétal peut être utilisé en alternance avec notre argile pour fourchette : Pediclay. Cette argile liquide prêtre à l’emploie est enrichi en goudron végétal et en huiles essentielles purifiantes.

En hiver ou en période humide vous pouvez utiliser notre Onguent protection pour l’entretien quotidien des sabots de votre cheval. Cet onguent est enrichi en huile de cade au propriétés purifiantes.

En cas de faiblesse ou de fissure au niveau de la corne, vous pouvez complémenter votre cheval avec un complément riche en biotine comme notre Hypersport biotine 3000.
