Nettle is an annual plant whose leaves and flowers are covered with prickly hairs. Green blooms from June to September. The nettle can be found on all continents in temperate regions.

Components (leaves): flavonoids, calcium, potassium, iron, zinc, silica, caffeic acid, vitamins.

Nettle is a plant very rich in silica. Nettle is traditionally used for joint stiffness and also has draining properties. This vegetable silica is very well tolerated by the body and promotes bone remineralisation in horses. Nettle is also useful as a source of minerals at the end of gestation or lactation.

What do you associate the nettle with?

If there is a need for enhanced remineralisation, nettle can be supplemented with a cure of seaweed, such as lithothamnion. This oceanic algae is a source of easily assimilable calcium and magnesium, useful in case of deficient rations or demineralisation. Lithothamnion is also recommended in cases of gastric acidity.

Our plants are stored away from light, heat and dust. The finished products are packaged in opaque buckets and stored in an air-conditioned room in order to preserve the quality of the raw materials.

The pure plants distributed by the ESC Laboratory are untreated and guaranteed GMO-free. Packaging is carried out in France by our Laboratory.

Conseils d’utilisation : dose à ajouter à la ration de base d’un cheval adulte (550kg) : 30 g par jour pendant 3 semaines. Si possible, distribuer en 2 prises quotidiennes. À renouveler si nécessaire. N’hésitez pas à demander l’avis de votre vétérinaire avant utilisation ou prolongation.
