Black bay ointment is made from a combination of ingredients selected for their nourishing, protective and purifying properties:

• Laurel oil: Traditionally used for the maintenance of the hoof, it is appreciated for its nourishing and purifying properties and helps to maintain a soft and quality horn.
• Plant wax: Its filmogenic power forms a protective layer on the surface of the hoof and helps protect the horn from external aggression.
• Oleoresin: naturally derived from plant resins, it participates in the protective properties of the formula. The turpentine essence that comes from it is traditionally recognized for its purifying properties.
• Cod liver oil: naturally rich in fatty acids and vitamin A, it helps feed the horn and preserve its flexibility.

A black ointment without tar

The black colour of the ointment is obtained by adding a pigment black and not tar. The formula is so Tar-free guarantee.

The proportion of vegetal wax and doleoresin may vary in order to maintain a consistency suitable for application despite temperature variations.
