LSeaweed oil ESC Laboratory is an oil obtained by extraction of the microalgae Schizochytrium. Our premium oil is ultra-concentrated DHA (48.9%) and also source of EPA. These 2 essential fatty acids are two biologically active forms of diomegas 3, i.e. the organism can use them immediately.
For information, vegetable oils « classics » like lFlax oil orhemp oil provide alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a non-active Omega 3 that must first be converted by the body into EPA and DHA for use.
Unlike traditional sources of EPA and DHA from high-fat, cold water fish,Seaweed oil represents a sustainable and contaminant-free alternative, providing essential fatty acids directly from their primary source.
Totox, an indicator for the level of oil oxidation at the time of analysis, is 1.9. It reveals an extremely low degree of oxidation. For information, a very high quality oil prases a totox <10, a good quality oil <20.

How to use algal oil in horses?
Our experts recommend to distributeAlgae oil for at least 3-4 weeks to benefit from DHA.
The dosage can be adjusted according to the needs of your horse:
• General support, reproduction: 10 ml per day,
• Stress support: 15 ml per day,
• Joint, respiratory or skin sensitivity: 15 to 20ml per day for at least 3 weeks.

This oil is not produced or has not been manufactured using genetically modified organisms.

Dose to be added to the basic ration of an adult horse (550kg):
• General support, reproduction: 10 ml per day for at least 3 weeks.
• Exercise support: 15 ml per day for at least 3 weeks.
• Joint, respiratory or skin sensitivity: 15 to 20 ml per day for at least 3 weeks. Do not hesitate to ask your veterinarian for advice before use or extension.
=> 20ml/d is an intake of approximately 15mg/kg/d of DHA for a 550kg horse.
Precautions for use: After opening, store in a refrigerator and distribute within 3 months. Formulated for animals. Close well after use. Store in a cool, dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children.
Anti-Doping Control: This product may contain natural contaminants that can make an anti-doping test positive, and we recommend that it be discontinued before an official test. Ask a veterinarian for advice on waiting time (usually 72 hours).

Very interesting product from a nutritional point of view, which has many benefits and seems to me better than fish oil for horses. A bottle with an integrated doser would be more convenient than the supplied doser cup whose graduations are not seen with the oil, which is quite thick and always remains at the bottom and on the edges (sprinkling) My mare made a little grimace at first, I gave the oil little by little, with a little sound, separated from her ration to get her used to and now it's going well.
