Raspberry bud Macerat – Rubus idaeus

Raspberry is a fruit shrub with slightly thorny aerial stems, up to 1.50 metres high. Native to the undergrowth and edge of the mountainous regions of Western Europe, it generally grows in the wild. It produces white flowers and fruits rich in potassium, vitamin C, magnesium, calcium and iron. Its leaves have always been associated with the health of the female reproductive system.

Thanks to its buds, one obtains a very effective concentrated macerate, the most used in Gemmotherapy. Its benefits are many: raspberry buds are used as gemmotherapy for horses for their regulatory properties on the functioning of ovaries. Therefore, it will be particularly suitable for mares with premenstrual syndromes (pissous mare and agitated behaviour) and for hormonal disorders.

The interest of Gemmotherapy is that it uses the embryonic tissues of plants to act on the organism. These tissues are extracted from parts of plants still growing (bubble or young shoots) which are particularly concentrated in active ingredients (minerals, vitamins, phytohormone) necessary for the proper development of the plant and its protection against external aggression. These plant parts are then macerated in a water – alcohol – glycerin mixture for several weeks. A concentrated mother macerate, also called a hydroalcoholic extract of fresh buds, is obtained.
