The salt of Epsom, or magnesium sulphate resembles a white crystalline powder consisting of 98% magnesium sulphate heptahydrate. Specifically, it is a mixture of magnesium, sulphide, oxygen and water.
The salt of Epsom exists in natural state in the waters of the fountain of Epsom in England, from where it takes its name, but it can also be reconstituted from other compounds such as Dolomite.
Although used since antiquity, its history begins in the 17th century with the source of Epsom which relieved people with skin disorders or muscle aches.

Magnesium sulphate heptahydrate ≥ 99%.
Instructions for use: Oral use: dose to be added to the basic ration of an adult horse (550kg): 50 g per day. External use (wet baths or bandages): dilute 10 g in 1L of water.
Precautions for use: avoid prolonged use. Leave clean water available. Monitor the correct consistency of crottins (risk of diarrhea). Not recommended in pregnant or lactating mares, foals, very elderly horses or in patients with renal impairment. Formulated for equidae. Close well after use. Store in a cool and dry place. Keep out of the reach of children.
