Plant glycerin is a natural reaction to the saponification process (mixture of vegetable oils and potash), used during the soap manufacturing process. Glycerin provides hydration and acts as a nourishing agent.

For an epidermis treatment that is desired more moisturizing, the vegetable glycerin is given 2 to 7% of the total mixture.

Plant glycerin is also the basic ingredient of plant macerates. In this case, water is mixed with glycerin at 50/50 and the plants are macerated in the liquid for several weeks.
