Bardane is a bisanual or perennial plant with very broad leaves and purple-purple flowers. Bardane is very common throughout the northern hemisphere, absent in the Mediterranean region.

The interest of the Bardane for skin problems is known since the Middle Ages. Its potassium nitrate and inulin content in the root of Bardane make the plant an excellent detoxifier. Its use is recommended in case of itching. Its components also have a draining action on the body.
Components: inulin, mucilages, polyphenols, potassium, essential oil, aromatic and sulphur acids, polyenes, polylines.
