ARTICHAUT – Cynara Scolymus. Asteraceae family

Artichoke is a perennial plant native to the south of Europe and cultivated in all vegetable gardens. The artichoke does not exist in the wild.

Artichoke is a recognized natural drainer. Contributes to the proper functioning of the liver and kidneys. Source of fibre and antioxidants. Components: phenolic acids, flavonoids, some bitter principles, malic acid, lactic, fumaric and citric.

Artichoke, the reference plant for the liver of the horse :

Artichoke supports the production and evacuation of bile through the cynarine it contains and which is concentrated in its leaves. By stimulating biliary secretion by the liver, it has interesting depurative and diuretic virtues. Artichoke also has draining action in the kidneys and facilitates the elimination of sugars and fats. In addition, artichoke fibres facilitate digestion and intestinal transit.

The artichoke can be used in case of too rich a ration or when weeding in the spring.

With what to associate Artichoke?

For enhanced action on the kidneys, combineartichoke with the Dandelion ornettle.

To strengthen its detox action, associate with the seed of Thistle-married, source of sylibine, also has a protective action on the liver.

In case of major need, give priority to the distribution of Detoxmix, a unique mixture of 8 plants with draining and detoxifying properties.

Given for a 9-year-old mare in a low stage (because of this bad weather) Given as a supplement to PEDIMIX for 1 week. Where anti-inflammatory drugs and veterinary supplement (artichoke, black radishes, dandelion) have done nothing, avev put to the diet, fence on the yarn from the beginning. In 1 week at 20gr/day I see the obvious difference. Juju is better, less sensitive to hoofs
