The particularity of linseed oil is its high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids such as omega 3 but also its omega 3/omega 6 ratio. It is also very low in saturated fatty acids. The latter are essential to the body which cannot manufacture them and play a role in cell renewal (epidermis, vision...). Linseed oil is also a source of vitamins A and E.

Because of its strong oxidizing power, linseed oil should be consumed quickly and stored preferably in the refrigerator.
