ONGUENT REPAIR LIQUID with vegetable oils and enriched with keratin - Risks of seime and cracks

The liquid repair ointment, an exclusive and very nourishing formula:

Made from vegetable oils and enriched with keratin, ESC liquid repair ointment cleanses and nourishes deep down. The combination of the 3 plant oils in the formula repairs and strengthens damaged horn and restores elasticity:

• Laurel oil: The active ingredients (1,8-cineole, linalool, eugenol, alpha pinene and beta pinene) help to fight against bacterial infections and forks damaged by humidity
• Avocado oil: Softening and regenerating, avocado oil is rich in vitamin E, which restores elasticity to dry horn
• Olive oil: Olive oil activates the microcirculation and stimulates the regrowth of the horn. Very rich in antioxidants, it helps protect the horn from aging

This ointment can be used in all seasons 2 to 3 times a week.

The seimes and cracks weaken the health of the hoof:

The presence of a crack is an open door to bacteria that can infiltrate the sensitive parts of the foot and create an infection and lameness. It is therefore essential to react quickly.

Seime is a crack in the hoof horn in the longitudinal direction (in the direction of horn growth). The conditions of appearance are favored by the dryness of the horn which becomes brittle, of poor quality. Trauma and mechanical removal can also play a role in the appearance of seimes.

Some rules to follow to prevent seimes:

• a good maintenance of the hoof to avoid a dryness of the horn (hydration)
• une alimentation adaptée favorisant la synthétisation de la biotine et la pousse d’une corne saine
• regular trimming
