What is Gemmotherapy?

Gemmotherapy, often described as bud medicine, is a branch of herbal medicine that uses buds and young shoots of trees and plants to create powerful natural remedies. The bud macerates, at the heart of this practice, offer a multitude of benefits.

Gemmotherapy takes its name from « gemmae », meaning both bud and precious stone in Latin. This therapeutic method uses buds, young shoots of trees and plants, as well as their sap, to prepare extracts (macerates) that concentrate all the power and vital energy of the plant at the beginning of its growth cycle. Macerates are obtained by maceration of the buds in a mixture of water, alcohol and glycerin, capturing all the biochemical complexity of the plant.
