Type I Marine Collagen, a protein that supports horse tendons:

Collagens are proteins found naturally in the body. As a constituent of bones, cartilage, connective tissue and blood vessels, they account for between 30% and 35% of the body's total proteins. In the body there are three main types of collagens. Type I is most abundant and is found in the skin, tendons and bone tissue. Type II is in the cartilage. Finally, type III is found in the muscles and walls of the vessels.

Collagen protects and maintains joint flexibility. It thus contributes to the vitality and well-being of the horse, providing it with joint and tendinous comfort on a daily basis. As the animal ages, collagen production by the organism decreases. Its mobility can then be limited and cause stiffness or sensitivity.

Marine collagen hydrolysate is easily assimilated, can be given as supplementation of the basic ration and contributes to joint support. It is beneficial in foals whose joints are rapidly growing up to 3 years.

Collagen supplementation is also recommended in horses with sustained sporting activity and in elderly horses to reduce the risk of joint weakening.

With what to associate the Marine Collagen?

For a more complete action in case of fragility of tendons and ligaments, it is possible to associate the Marine collagen with our plant mixture: TendomixThis complementary feed contains plants with soothing, remineralizing and draining properties.

In order to support cartilage, it is possible to supplement with Chondroitin and the Glucosamine. These two molecules are natural constituents of cartilage, they support cartilage structure and contribute to shock absorption.

To promote the recovery of tendons after effort, you can use our massage gel Traumaphyt. This treatment product is formulated with the gel of the aloe vera and is enriched with essential oils with circulatory and soothing properties.
