LITHOTHAMNE – Lithothamnium calcareum. Corallinaceae family
The lithothamne is a limestone seaweed that has the peculiarity of capturing the minerals contained in seawater in ionized form. The lithothamne is purple red. It is found on the Atlantic coast, especially in Brittany but also in the Mediterranean at depths of 15 to 20cm.
Components : minerals (calcium, sodium, magnesium, iodine, iron, manganese, silica...), amino acids, vitamin C, aspartic acid and glutamic acid, alginates.

Minerals and trace elements crystallize once seaweed is collected. It thus becomes an excellent alkaline source. For this reason, the lithothamne is composed of 33% calcium carbonate.
With what to associate lithothamne?
In case of need for increased remineralisation, the lithothamne can be completed with a treatment ofExtrafer, a liquid complementary feed made from a mixture of plants and enriched with biotin, selenium and zinc. Raw material for horse feed
Analytical constituents: calcium 33%, insoluble ash 2.5%, magnesium 2.5%.
No additives.
Instructions for use: dose to be added to the basic ration of an adult horse (550 kg): 50 g per day for 3 weeks. If possible, distribute in 2 daily doses. To be renewed if necessary. Do not hesitate to ask your veterinarian for advice before use or extension.
Precautions for use: pregnant or lactating mares: on veterinary advice only. Formulated for equidae. Close well after use. Store in a cool and dry place. Keep out of the reach of children.
Anti-Doping Control: This product may contain natural contaminants that can make an anti-doping test positive, and we recommend that it be discontinued before an official test. Ask a veterinarian for advice on waiting time (usually 72 hours).
